Anne Wold is a multifaceted designer and artist based in Los Angeles, CA.
While in college, she began making projects with unconventional materials such as food, objects from the dollar store, and even materials destined for the trash can. What began as a money-saving practice quickly became common use in her work as she found working in limitations lead to more creative outcomes.
In 2017, she graduated from the Savannah College of Art and Design with a BFA in Costume Design. For the past 8+ years she’s created meticulously engineered stage costumes for some of entertainment’s biggest stars (Taylor Swift, Olivia Rodrigo, Sabrina Carpenter, etc.) and iconic pieces for some of the world’s most notorious fashion houses (Moschino, Versace, Dolce & Gabbana, etc.). Her work has been featured at the MET Gala, the Swarovski Museum in Austria, Kensington Palace, LACMA, and the Musée national des beaux-arts du Québec.
Her avant-garde designs often utilize time-intensive practices such as chainmaille, hand sewing, hand linked assemblage, hand knitting, weaving, etc. Her pieces can take days to months to complete.
This, combined with her experience working in celebrity stage-wear and couture fashion design, has brought her to now where she creates pieces like purses from pretzels and dresses from perfume bottles.
